The main purpose is to improve design and architect new and changed solutions to the Santen overall IT environment. He/She strives to be a technology architect with strong focus on delivering quantifiable business value by designing solutions to protect optimize and harmonize Santen Cloud and Workplace solutions/systems. He/She acts as a technology champion a project manager and works openly and across regions to gather feedback to optimize Santen services. Furthermore He/She drives in line with IT Infrastructure roadmap and works closely with the Infrastructure global leads for Cloud Connectivity and Workplace systems to give Santen a competitive advantage.

Technologies focused on in this role will be Azure Cloud on Workplace systems/solutions such as VDI solutions (AVD/Citrix) Intune SCCM MFA Azure AD and Active Directory and he/she recognizes and improves these systems from a global point of view.

Role holder will as well support architecture and solutions Santen AWS platform hence experience is this public Cloud domain is required.

Number of direct subordinates

• Santen focuses on Cloud native solutions hence this role will continue to evolve but at this time the role does not have direct reports.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

The role holder actively works with the global platform leads for Cloud Connectivity and Workplace systems including regional Infrastructure team members. Furthermore he/she collaborates with Service Operations which provides Workplace & end user support and with Digital teams to deliver improvements to the Santen Workplace environment. He/She acts in line with and is comfortable with the following tasks and activities:

• Considers and advises solutions from a global perspective works with an international mindset and incorporates diversity in people and culture into his/her practice.
• Assess the business value Cloud Workplace and IT Infrastructure and solutions delivery and explains clearly how it benefits Santen in business language.
• Performs assessments reviews and creates plans for improving Santen Cloud and Workplace system solutions.
• Creates designs and architecture based on best practice and in line with Santen Architecture processes.
• Drives external partners and collaborates with Santen internal team to generate requirement specifications in the Workplace systems domain.
• Manages projects end to end to design resource and implement new solutions.
• Developing business cases or opportunity studies when needed establishing project plans aligned with Santen business domains expectations.
• Reports monthly to manager about KPIs achievements risks and challenges within area of responsibilities.
• Adheres to GxP guidelines and follows Santen SDLC procedures/practices.

IS Strategy and Project Portfolio

• Understand Santens business environment business model and company strategy
• Is one of many drivers of the Cloud and Workplace roadmap with Core Infrastructure leadership team.
• Understands and builds expertize on Azure Microsoft 365 and Amazon cloud platforms and supports IT teams to build the right solutions directly.

Project Initiation and Execution

• Steers projects to implement new solutions including developing business cases or opportunity studies when needed establishing project plans aligned with Santen business domains expectations.
• Coach project members from project kickoff to closure so that the project meets its objectives in terms of deliverables costs timelines and business value
• Consider the endtoend approach based on users expectations to provide not only a technical solution but all the change management communication training and support services needed.
• Ensure there are continuous PDCA (Plan Do Check and Action) cycles to improve services and solution in place in relations with KPIs and SLAs in place or to be developed.
• Ensures smooth transition of IT projects from project phase to operational phase thus supporting regional service operation.

Team and domain management

• Execute the budget in respect of its objectives in terms of services to operate solutions to deliver.
• Apply the ITIL principles to the activity to leverage bestestablished practices and have a standard approach.

Stakeholder Relationship and Vendor Management

• Maintain good working relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Support his DIT peers / colleagues in charge of business applications to provide the right cloud solutions & advice or solutions allowing them to provide the right applications to business domains.
• Manage the suppliers by defining clear guidelines and objectives relying on KPIs and SLAs in coordination with the governance in place. Challenge organization and governance in place to propose and implement improvements.

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Business Computer Sciences Engineering or related field or equivalent experience

Minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Systems Infrastructure Workplace tools and Azure & AWS Cloud solutions. Minimum 5 years of Cloud AWS/Azure transformation incl complex projects management preferably from a multi continental (global) perspective.

Excellent track records of delivering results

Successful experiences of change management (Process changes and Organization changes)

Experience of International way for working multiculture organizations global collaboration effective communication and leveraging team diversity as a strength is required.

Broad knowledge and perspectives on Information Systems Infrastructures (Azure Cloud solutions Workplace technologies VDI architecture MFA Cloud networking Active Directory Azure AD and Windows systems and workstations.

Experience in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 is required.

Experience in Amazon Web Services is required.

Experience in Workplace Infrastructure solutions (Azure AD Conditional access MFA CASB Active Directory SCCM AVD VDI Intune etc) is required.

Experience in migration and transition projects from traditional Infra to Cloud based Infra is required.

Fundamental knowledge on IT security in relation to enduser environment

Practical project management skills applied to infrastructure projects with rollout activities based on knowledge and experiences

Documentation and presentation skills that are convincing for management

Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English
