Job Description

Adelphi is seeking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support student health foster health education and maintain a safe and inclusive environment in a public school district in Fayette County Kentucky. The LPN will play a key role in providing specialized health services and working closely with school staff parents and healthcare providers to ensure the overall wellbeing of students.

Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
Valid Kentucky LPN license.
12 years of experience preferably in pediatrics school nursing or special needs care.
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
Valid Driver s License
Proof of required immunizations

Responsibilities:
Assist in nursing assessments and monitor student health conditions.
Implement individualized health care plans under the supervision of an RN and in compliance with IEPs.
Administer medications and perform basic health procedures such as catheterizations and enteral feedings.
Provide direct care to students and assist with specialized health tasks as delegated by an RN.
Train and assist Unlicensed Authorized Personnel (UAP) for healthrelated tasks under RN supervision.
Collaborate with school staff parents and healthcare providers to support student health needs.
Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with district and state health guidelines.
Prepare and organize medications for field trips and coordinate with school personnel.
Respond to emergencies with First Aid CPR/AED and allergy management support.
Conduct health screenings and assist with followup referrals.
Participate in staff training for emergency medication administration and response.
Assist in monitoring and maintaining a clean HIPAAcompliant health area.
May be required for field trips or travel between schools.
Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting/moving up to a specified weight (e.g. 50 lbs).
