JOB OVERVIEW
Job Title: Certified Anesthesia Assistant (CAA)
Job Type: Locum Tenens
Location: Lawrenceville GA
Service Setting: Hospital Cardiac Anesthesia Department
Coverage Type: Clinical Only
Coverage Period: April 1 2025 July 31 2025
Clinical Shift Schedule: Flexible Schedule 3640 hours per week

PATIENT INFORMATION
Patient Demographics: Adult Cardiac Patients
Patient Volume/Census: To be determined
Case Mix: Cardiac anesthesia cases

FACILITY INFORMATION
EMR System: To be determined
Specialty Backup Available: Yes (Cardiac Anesthesia Department)
Support Staff Available: Yes (Multidisciplinary Team)
Reason for Coverage: Locum tenens coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Rate: TBD
Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: To be determined

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
Cardiac anesthesia procedures
Perioperative and intraoperative anesthesia care

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active Georgia Anesthesiologist Assistant License
Certifications:
Graduate of a Master s degree program in Anesthesia
National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA) (Preferred)
Experience:
Minimum of one year (Preferred)
Demonstrated competency in clinical responsibilities
Other Qualifications:
Ability to operate and interpret anesthesiarelated equipment
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of infection control practices
Ability to maintain confidential records
Compliance with hospital policies and procedures

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform anesthesia care in a hospital setting
Monitor patients during and after anesthesia administration
Operate anesthesiarelated equipment
Ensure patient safety and adherence to best practices in cardiac anesthesia
Collaborate effectively with physicians nurses and surgical teams
Maintain accurate documentation and records
Comply with infection prevention and control standards
