The client is actively seeking a professional Survey Technician to join our team at its underground Zinc operation in Gouverneur NY. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about the mining industry and eager to contribute to our operations. The location is within a 2hour drive of The Thousand Islands Lake Ontario shoreline the Adirondack Mountains and worldclass skiing at Lake Placid with easy access to Canada.

- Strong knowledge of MSHA regulations related to site safety

- Willingness to progress skills by seeking licensure or other further education in surveying

- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) preferred
- Previous experience in the mining industry is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent asbuilt surveys of underground mined excavation geometries and other miscellaneous features daily
- Utilize surveying equipment and technology to collect data accurately
- Collaborate with engineers and mining teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and weekly mine plans
- Adhere to MSHA regulations and safety standards while performing duties
- Maintain accurate records of all surveying activities and findings
- Other duties as assigned
