Job Description

Senior Technical Sales Engineer: HVAC Industry

Dublin Ireland

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sales growth engaging with multiple stakeholders and delivering highvalue engineering solutions.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Technical Sales Engineer you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key industry stakeholders including consulting engineers contractors and end clients. You will drive business growth by identifying opportunities proposing tailored HVAC solutions and securing contracts. From early project concept through to final contract capture you will ensure our solutions align with customer needs and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Client Engagement:

  • Build strong longterm relationships with consulting engineers contractors and construction industry professionals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their technical requirements and present solutions that add value.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders ensuring HVAC products and systems meet project needs.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients offering tailored technical support and product demonstrations.
  • Assess customer drawings and specifications to prepare proposals that align with project requirements.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial client engagement to final contract negotiation and closure.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of HVAC product offerings technical specifications and industry applications.
  • Ensure timely submission of quotations and proposals following up proactively to secure projects.
  • Support clients throughout the project lifecycle from design to installation and beyond.
  • Accurately forecast and report on sales performance pipeline development and revenue generation.
  • Leverage your engineering knowledge to present innovative HVAC solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to educate clients on product capabilities and benefits.
  • Use negotiation and closing skills to secure projects and meet personal KPIs
  • Use a valuebased selling approach to differentiate solutions from competitors.
  • Stay informed on industry trends regulations and advancements in HVAC technology.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including engineering operations and customer support to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements & Competencies:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (or a related technical field).
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in HVAC technical sales.
  • Strong knowledge of heating ventilation air conditioning (HVAC) systems and related control technologies.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings specifications and engineering documentation.
  • Excellent negotiation communication and presentation skills.
  • A resultsdriven mindset with a customerfocused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for client meetings and site visits.
  • A valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
