Job Description
Basic Function and Scope of Responsibility:
The Cloud Engineer is primarily responsible for engineering configuration installation maintenance and upgrading the Companys cloud infrastructure. Using industry best practices for governance security and compliance designs and develops highly available and scalable architecture and systems to support cloud deployments in a highpaced healthcare environment. Identifies specific technologies and services for cloudnative applications and services. Adapts and migrates existing onpremise applications and processes to be cloudoptimized. Advises management on cloud best practices. This role requires deep technical expertise strategic thinking and the ability to lead complex projects.
Essential Job Duties:
Level I Minimum
- Assist in research evaluation and recommendation of AWS Azure and Office 365 architecture and infrastructure solutions in support of complex business requirements.
- Assist in designing configuring or upgrading cloud infrastructure.
- Assist in identifying diagnosing and resolving connection reliability or performance issues.
- Keep the workroom neat organized and secure.
- Work under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment.
- Consult with senior peers on noncomplex projects to learn through experience.
- Apply basic application management and administration skills with a moderate level of proficiency.
- Represent the department and the organization favorably and in accordance with established Company standards and associate attributes.
- Work within defined ITIL processes such as change and incident management.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications :
Essential Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Level I Minimum
- Bachelors degree in computer science business or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 13 years of experience deploying and managing public cloudbased infrastructure in AWS and Azure environments.
- Minimum of 13 years of experience deploying configuring and scaling solutions in a secure cloud environment (IaaS PaaS SaaS).
- Minimum of 13 years of experience configuring a secure Office 365 environment including Exchange Teams and SharePoint.
- Minimum of 13 years of experience monitoring the cloud environment for security risks and the ability to evaluate respond and remediate
- Critical thinking and problemsolving ability
- Ability to multitask
- Knowledge of reference lab operations and processes a plus.
- Knowledge and management of System Development Lifecycle Methodologies.
- Experience with Agile approaches and concepts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines monitoring tools and general DevOps practices.
- Experience in maintaining technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution
- Goaloriented with excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Keenly attentive to detail
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
- High level of proficiency with PCbased software programs including MS Office suite Visio and project management tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands arms and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other office equipment use a telephone access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels including overhead.
- Ability to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance over the telephone and in a group setting.
- Ability to continuously operate a personal computer for extended periods of time (4 or more hours).
- Mental acuity sufficient to collect and interpret data evaluate reason define problems establish facts draw valid conclusions and make valid judgments and decisions.
