An opening has become available for a Behaviour Support Practitioner living in Werribee or very closeby to join our professional and friendly team.
Thanks to our commitment to service excellence demand for our services has increased and we have the need to find a new practitioner in the Werribee area. We will consider an entry level practitioner who can demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Positive Behaviour Support Model of reducing the use of Restrictive Practices as well as a strong commitment to delivering evidencebased functional behavioural outcomes.
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner you will...
- Support our clients (NDIS participants) along with their families and/or carers to identify their needs through assessment and personcentred planning
- Identify meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices in the home and community
- Develop deliver and evaluate evidencebased support plans within a complex support space
- Ensure individual plans reflect our clients goals passions and strengths
- Build the knowledge capacity and strengths of those who support our clients family carers friends etc

About you
- Current suitability (i.e. registration) with the NDIS Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner OR considerable experience providing support to people with behaviours of concern (professionally and/or personally) is essential
- Demonstrated ability to work positively in a multidisciplinary team
- Outstanding communication influencing and interpersonal skills
- Confident computer skills
- Sound writing skills
- Current drivers licence and own reliable vehicle

- Formal qualifications of relevance to providing supports to people with behaviours of concern would be of value but are not essential
