Job Description: Avantis Resources is seeking an International Estate Planning Associate or Senior Associate with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join a distinguished legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in crossborder tax planning advising both U.S. and nonU.S. clients on wealth management structures that address multijurisdictional tax and legal considerations. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex international estate planning matters within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on foreign trusts preimmigration and expatriation planning and strategies for purchasing U.S. property by nonU.S. persons.
- Ensure compliance with tax and reporting obligations for clients with interests in foreign accounts corporations and trusts.
- Develop and implement wealth management structures accommodating multijurisdictional tax and legal considerations.
- Collaborate with clients and other professionals to develop tailored wealth preservation strategies.
- Stay current on evolving international estate planning laws and tax regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Admission to the state bar.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in international estate planning with a focus on crossborder tax planning.
- Exceptional analytical research and writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
