Job Title: Nurse Practitioner Pediatrics

Service Setting: Outpatient Community Health Center
Coverage Type: Clinical Only
Coverage Period: As soon as credentialed 3 months with the possibility to extend
Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (8hour workday with 1hour unpaid lunch)
PATIENT INFORMATION
Patient Demographics: Newborns to Pediatrics
Patient Volume/Census: Up to 16 patients per day (may vary due to cancellations)
Case Mix: General pediatrics serving a diverse population including migrant and refugee communities
FACILITY INFORMATION
EMR System: Epic
Office Equipment Available: Standard outpatient clinic equipment
Specialty Backup Available: Onsite pediatrician mental health therapists dietitians
Support Staff Available: Dedicated medical assistant for each provider receptionist local health care administrator
Reason for Coverage: Locum coverage need
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
Hospital Privileges Required: No
Temporary Privileges Available: Not applicable
Credentialing Timeline: 23 weeks
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Rate: TBD
Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Covered (Flight rental car or mileage and lodging provided)
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
General pediatric care including routine checkups sick visits immunizations and developmental screenings
Experience in community health settings preferred
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active Washington State Nurse Practitioner License required (will not consider nonlicensed candidates)
Certifications: Board Certified in Pediatrics Active WA DEA BLS ACLS
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required must have experience with Epic EMR and a clean background (no malpractice cases)
Other Qualifications: Experience working in community health settings preferred interest in serving vulnerable populations
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide pediatric care in an outpatient community health center setting
Conduct patient evaluations diagnosis and treatment planning
Administer immunizations and preventive care services
Collaborate with support staff including medical assistants mental health therapists and dietitians
Ensure compliance with clinic policies and productivity expectations (18 patients per day for overtime eligibility)
Attend a oneweek onsite orientation expected to begin patient care by day three
