Job Description

TPF Recruitment is thrilled to collaborate with an esteemed independent accountancy practice in Forest Row seeking a Qualified Accountant to become an integral part of their closeknit and dynamic team. This wellestablished firm comprising around 15 dedicated professionals is renowned for its positive culture prioritising staff wellbeing and exceptional client care. As a Qualified Accountant your role will be pivotal in supporting the firm s success and managing a diverse portfolio of clients. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Client Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with clients serving as their primary contact for financial and business advice.
  • Accounts Preparation: Prepare yearend accounts for sole traders partnerships and limited companies in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Taxation: Oversee corporation tax VAT and personal tax compliance while offering ad hoc tax planning advice.
  • Audit and Assurance: Support statutory audit work as required.
  • Management Accounts: Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts providing analysis to aid clients in making informed decisions.
  • Supervision and Training: Mentor junior staff aiding their professional development.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with regulatory requirements and deadlines.
  • Business Development: Identify new service opportunities or referrals contributing to the firm s growth initiatives.


Requirements

To excel in this role you should possess:
  • A professional accountancy qualification (ACA ACCA or equivalent).
  • Prior experience within an accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical skills in accounts preparation tax and ideally audit.
  • Excellent communication skills and a clientfocused approach.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under deadlines.
