Job Overview:
The File Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization storage and accessibility of digital files or databases within an organization. This role ensures that all records are accurate uptodate and easily retrievable while maintaining data security and compliance with relevant regulations. The File Manager collaborates with various internal team members to support their digital file management needs and optimize data workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective systems for organizing and storing digital files.
Maintain accurate and uptodate digital records ensuring proper categorization and tagging.
Implement and maintain security protocols to protect digital files from unauthorized access or breaches.
Manage and facilitate the retrieval of digital files as needed by authorized personnel.
Set up and manage access controls to ensure only authorized users can access specific files.
Conduct periodic audits to identify and correct any inconsistencies or errors in digital records.
Develop and implement data backup and recovery plans to prevent data loss.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Computer or administration preferred
Proven experience in digital file management or a similar role.
Experience with digital file storage systems and data backup/recovery solutions.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
