About the Role: Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps support expert
We are seeking a highly skilled GCP DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a GCP DevOps Engineer the candidate will play a critical role in designing implementing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Candidate will work closely with development and operations teams to automate processes improve efficiency and ensure the reliability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Provisioning and Configuration:
o Provision and configure GCP Virtual Machines (VMs) tailored to specific workloads.
o Create and manage a variety of GCP services including BigQuery Cloud Storage Cloud SQL GKE Compute Engine Cloud Functions Data Proc and Cloud CDN.
o Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
o Monitor GCP Native dashboards Cloud logging and analyze and document the RCA. Help the infrastructure & development team to troubleshoot issues.
o Configure load balancing autoscaling and monitoring.
Application Deployment and Management:
o Deploy and manage applications on GCP including web applications mobile backends and data pipelines.
o Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
o Integrate with various data sources using technologies like Dataflow Dataproc and Data Fusion.
o Implement serverless computing solutions using Cloud Functions.
o Configure containerized applications using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or Cloud Run.
Security and Access Control:
o Establish and maintain robust security controls including Identity and Access Management (IAM).
o Implement security best practices such as vulnerability scanning patch management and encryption.
o Configure security policies and access controls.
o Implement security monitoring and logging.
Operational Support and Maintenance:
o Provide ongoing operational support including troubleshooting monitoring and performance optimization.
o Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation.
o Collaborate with the team to resolve issues related to GCP services.
Required Skills and Experience:
Strong proficiency in GCP services and tools including Compute Engine App Engine Cloud Functions Cloud Storage Cloud SQL GKE Cloud SQL BigQuery Cloud CDN VPC IAM and more.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins Cloud Build or GitHub Actions.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python Bash or PowerShell.
Strong understanding of networking concepts security best practices and compliance standards.
Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
Certifications in GCP or other Cloud solutions.
Experience with serverless computing and eventdriven architectures.
Knowledge of data engineering tools and technologies.
