Job Description
Our client is a wellrespected food manufacturer with a long history of sustainable practices and is committed to continuing their legacy of using clean ingredients and providing ethical treatment to all animals in their supply chain.
The ideal candidate should possess advanced knowledge of finance and accounting principles at least several years of management experience and come from the food and beverage wine or related industries.
Please note that this position requires you to be onsite in Fairfield CA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
- Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to management.
- Conduct variance analysis and prepare reports for operational efficiency.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Support annual budgeting processes and periodic reforecasts.
- Collaborate with various departments to consolidate financial data.
Internal Controls and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and companyspecific accounting policies.
- Maintain and improve internal control processes to mitigate risk.
- Assist with audits and regulatory compliance efforts.
Operational Support
- Partner with production and procurement teams to manage cost accounting.
- Identify opportunities for costsaving measures and process improvements.
Leadership
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Support the Controller with strategic financial initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 710 years of progressive accounting experience with minimum 3 years in a management role. Open to more senior candidates as well
- Strong preference for candidates who have a background in food/beverage manufacturing wine or adjacent industries
- Firm grasp of GAAP and cost accounting principles
- Excellent problemsolving organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to work in a dynamic and deadlinedriven environment
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
