Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and resultsdriven Business Development Associate to join our team. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy you will play a critical role in managing our inbound leads driving deal cycles from pipeline to closure and representing the company at Web3 events.

You will also lead outbound efforts support deal progression and ensure seamless collaboration across stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has exceptional communication and organizational skills a solid understanding of the DeFi/Web3 space and a doer mindset to thrive in a fastpaced environment.

Responsibilities:

Pipeline & Deal Management:

  • Manage and qualify inbound leads progressing them through the pipeline to ensure a seamless customer journey from initial outreach to closedwon deals.
  • Spearhead outbound efforts to identify and engage key projects and stakeholders driving new business opportunities.
  • Support the Head of Strategy and partner with the VP of Business Operations to advance deals by preparing proposals contract templates and other materials while supporting in facilitating legal and commercial aspects to ensure alignment with company objectives.

Strategic Communication & Coordination:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for prospects and clients throughout the deal cycle ensuring consistent and professional communication.
  • Coordinate and schedule calls meetings and followups to maintain deal momentum.
  • Track and document meeting notes action items and updates ensuring all stakeholders are aligned.

CrossFunctional Collaboration:

  • Serve as a business overlay to vertical leads and customer success facilitating renewal and upsell strategies by aligning customer needs with business objectives and maximizing value.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless handoffs and ongoing communication with clients.

Relationship Building & Account Management:

  • Build and nurture key customer relationships focusing on driving longterm value and satisfaction.
  • Clearly articulate and develop value propositions for projects in the pipeline to drive and qualify leads effectively.

In Person Event Representation & Market Development:

  • Represent the company at key Web3 Fintech Blockchain and DeFi events to network with potential partners and customers.
  • Identify and pursue strategic opportunities by engaging with industry leaders and influencers.

Requirements

Education: Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Finance or a related field.

Experience:

23 years of experience in business development sales or related roles preferably in a Web3 DeFi or technology environment.

Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline build client relationships and close deals effectively.

Experience with CRM tools pipeline management and sales methodologies (i.e MEDDIC)

Skills:

Strong understanding of DeFi and Web3 concepts with the ability to translate technical topics into business language.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proven organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple leads and priorities.

Analytical mindset with the ability to provide accurate forecasts and reports.

Proactive solutionoriented approach with a strong sense of ownership.

Culture:

Demonstrated ability to work in a fastpaced collaborative environment.

Selfstarter mentality with a strong sales and business acumen coupled with experience in closing deals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in both corporate and startup environments (ideally in Finance Fintech and Web3) demonstrating knowledge of business development best practices and the ability to adapt and implement them in a startup setting.
  • Based in New York with the flexibility to work in a hybrid model.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for events or client meetings.

Hiring Criteria

  • 23 years in BD sales or related roles ideally in Web3/DeFi with a track record of managing pipelines and closing deals
  • Strong understanding of DeFi Web3 and crypto protocols with the ability to translate technical topics into business value
  • Experience qualifying leads managing outbound/inbound sales and nurturing client relationships to drive longterm success
  • Excellent verbal and written communication ability to manage multiple priorities and proficiency with CRM tools
  • Comfortable representing the company at Web3/DeFi events networking with industry leaders and identifying strategic opportunities
