Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW
Job Title: Physician Pediatrics
Job Type: Locum Tenens
Location: St. Johnsbury VT
Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Coverage Type: Scheduled On Call
Coverage Period: Start Date: 03/17/2025 Ongoing
Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Tuesday and Friday: 7:30 AM 3:30 PM
OnCall Shift Schedule: Every 4th night and every 4th weekend

PATIENT INFORMATION
Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 18 patients per day
Patient Demographics: Pediatric population
Percentage of New vs. Established Patients: 10% new 90% established

FACILITY INFORMATION
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
EMR System: Meditech

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Rate:
Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Covered

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
General pediatric care for outpatient and inpatient settings as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active Vermont Medical License preferred; IMLC considered
Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
DEA: Required
Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Meditech EMR preferred

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide highquality pediatric care in outpatient and inpatient settings
Participate in oncall duties as scheduled (every 4th night and weekend)
Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes
Document patient interactions and care accurately in the Meditech EMR system
