Role Description:
- Participate in IEP meetings and coordinate with other service providers.
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed to meet IEP goals.
- Create a structured safe and nurturing classroom environment that fosters learning and independence.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for early childhood students with special needs.
- Provide instruction in both individual and group settings to meet the developmental needs of children ages 35.
- Collaborate with families paraprofessionals therapists and other educators to support each child s goals and progress.
- Use playbased learning and developmentally appropriate practices to support social emotional cognitive and physical growth.
Requirements
Candidates should hold a Bachelor s or Master s degree in Special Education or a related field and possess a valid Georgia teaching certification in Early Childhood Special Education. A solid understanding of early childhood development and effective behavior management strategies is essential. While prior experience working with children with disabilities in a preschool setting is preferred strong communication and teamwork skills are critical for collaborating with families and colleagues to support student success.
