Job Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the federal government contracting space. This role involves identifying new opportunities building relationships and leading business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a growth strategy for federal government contracts
- Identify qualify and pursue new business opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with clients partners and key stakeholders
- Lead capture management and proposal development efforts
- Stay informed on industry trends market conditions and competitor activities
- Attend industry events and networking opportunities
Requirements
- 2 4 years of experience in business development and capture management within federal government contracting
- Experience in professional services and proposal development
- Strong understanding of federal contracting methods and procurement processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office SharePoint and federal opportunity sourcing tools (SAM.gov FedConnect Deltek GovWin)
- Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 8(a) Federal contracting
- Knowledge of Shipley Proposal Methods
