Job Title: Firewall Specialist SP3
Location: Brooklyn NY
Duration: 12 Months
Years of Experience: 15 Yrs.
Required Hours/Week: 35hrs./Week
Notes:
- Scheduled Work Hours: Normal business hours MondayFriday 35 hours/week (not including mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hours of work)

Job Description / Justification:
- The end client has been tasked with recruiting a Security Engineer/Architect who will be required to assist with the design and deployment of firewall security solutions deployed in large complex networked environments.
- The architect/engineer must be highly specialized to provide guidance at various stages of planning and implementing secure design processes and resilient solutions.
- This resource will have significant interaction with end clients Infrastructure Management leadership its engineering and architecture teams operations team and datacenter teams.
Scope of Services:
- Firewalls and Network NextGen Firewall Cloud Security Routing and Defensive Security
Tasks:
- Participate in design meetings and reviews from a security and network perspective on assigned priority projects.
- Propose networking security architecture to meet the business requirements and while adhering to end clients best practices guidelines.
- Collaborate with end clients Architect teams for developing operable solutions for Citywide requirements.
- Complete all requirements for installing new network or firewall devices.
- Follow end clients process for new devices provisioning of integrated systems.
- Followend clients established procedures to successfully replace firewalls and firewall rules.
- Serve as SME to increase security and adoption of cloud services.
- Analyze and audit native Cloud provider security management tools.
Mandatory Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in the field of networking network security and firewalls
- Must have handson experience with Palo Alto
- Deep understanding and experience of DNS NTP BGP and other critical infrastructure protocols.
- Must understand enterprise cloud provider services in a large environment.
- Deep understanding on routing load balancing and networking infrastructure.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Hands on experience in Cisco and Palo Alto firewall technology
- Additional experience in the field of multi cloud environments.
- Good project management skills
- Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects
