Job Description

Were hiring a Senior Employment Counsel to lead employment legal matters across EMEA for a leading global tech company. This role is pivotal in providing strategic employment law guidance while ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Partnering closely with the People Team and senior leadership youll shape the companys employment policies handle complex employee relations cases and support business expansion.

Tasks

  • Supporting Business Growth: Advise on employmentrelated aspects of global expansion mobility and regulatory compliance.
  • Advising on Employment Law: Provide practical businessfocused legal advice on hiring performance management employee relations benefits terminations and workplace policies across EMEA.
  • Works Council & Employee Engagement: Serve as the primary legal contact for works councils and employee organizations drafting agreements and managing engagement processes.
  • Supporting Business Growth: Advise on employmentrelated aspects of global expansion mobility and regulatory compliance.
  • Training & Best Practices: Develop and deliver training sessions for HR and leadership teams on employment law topics.
  • HR & Compliance Collaboration: Partner with HR and compliance teams to enhance policies improve internal processes and develop best practices.
  • Investigations & Ethics Oversight: Lead internal investigations on employment matters and contribute to ethics and compliance policies.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions: Support employment due diligence risk assessments and postmerger integration for M&A transactions.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified lawyer in Germany with 8 years experience PQE.
  • Expertise in German employment law and experience in European markets.
  • Deep understanding of works council matters employment litigation and regulatory compliance.
  • A businessminded approach offering practical solutions that align with the companys growth and risk strategy.
  • Strong communication skills able to translate complex legal matters into clear actionable advice.
  • Experience in highgrowth international companies.
  • Fluency in English and German language.
