Mechanical Engineer Hydraulics
Location: Ottawa Canada
Salary: $17.00 $35.00/hour
Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in hydraulic systems design and controls to join our clients team in Ottawa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing testing and managing hydraulic power unit components controls and projects from concept to startup.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze data and specifications to assess feasibility and generate accurate cost estimates.
  • Design and review schematics layouts and drawings to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams customers and sales to resolve design challenges.
  • Prepare itemized material lists and oversee drafting of general arrangement and machine detail drawings.
  • Conduct hydraulic power unit testing and troubleshooting ensuring assembly drawings align with the final build.
  • Manage projects from quote stage to completion overseeing design testing and troubleshooting.
  • Perform additional assigned duties to support the team and improve processes.
Requirements
Language Skills
  • Proficiency in English is required for effective communication.
Education
  • Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience
  • 5 years of experience in hydraulic systems design and controls.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic electrical control concepts.
  • Strong problemsolving communication and project management skills.
  • Certified Fluid Power Specialist (preferred but not required).
