Job Description
Work with Area Supervisor to coordinate the daily activities of the Assembly Line team.
Be proficient in all processes within the departmental area and able to act as trainer and mentor to new associates and associates undergoing crosstraining.
Understand and use basic BPS principles on a daily basis to optimize processes and ensure on time delivery of components to assembly lines.
For Associates looking to work on the Assembly Lines the tasks include but are not limited to:
Reading and understanding work instructions as well as training others to these standards and/or training others to EngineeredtoOrder Special Handling Sheets (i.e.: SHS). Also reading and interpreting product drawings building appliances (i.e.: units) using manual and power tools using measuring devices performing functional tests performing inspections identifying defects labeling nonconforming materials reworking units as needed and understanding the fundamentals of material handling.
Qualifications :
- Ability to read and apply work instructions follow directions understand and execute safety and quality procedures.
- Must be flexible to work in another departments when requested.
- Must be able to work overtime when requested.
- Must be able to speak read and write English.
- Must be able to coordinate tasks of others (10 15 people)
- Manufacturing experience in assembly and / or CNC machine operation preferred.
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
