Key Accountabilities
- Support operations with inbound and inprocess inspections and problemsolving to prevent quality issues collaborating with internal engineering and key stakeholders.
- Ensure tools are calibrated to established standards.
- Inspect manufacturing work and record issues and resolutions in the Quality Management System.
- Perform inbound inspections from suppliers to ensure product compliance; collect and analyze process data as needed.
- Conduct receiving inprocess and final inspection activities.
- Perform internal manufacturing process and product audits as directed.
- Support quality management system audits.
- Report supplier nonconformances and collaborate with the team to resolve supplier quality issues.
- Assist with nonconforming material containment processes within the business unit.
- Communicate and resolve customer quality concerns with internal teams.
- Participate in projects or initiatives assigned by the Quality System or Engineering team.
- Support the quality department with corrective and preventive action processes.
- Perform nonconforming material analysis and maintain quality records.
- Contribute to continual improvement initiatives and organizational objectives.
- Travel up to 25% to suppliers and other sites to support operations including travel between designated locations in Texas.
- Undertake other projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Technician preferably in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
- Experience with hand gauges (e.g. calipers micrometers).
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
