Job Description

As a Country Manager (w/AU Accounting Experience) you will oversee and develop the global workforce operations manage a highperforming team of accounting professionals and provide strategic leadership to meet organizational goals. You will ensure smooth operations foster team growth and align processes with global standards.

Your Daily Tasks

Objective

  • Manage and develop global workforce operations to align with the strategic objectives of HLB Mann Judd Australasian firms.
  • Facilitate consistent daily operations of a team of accounting and advisory professionals to deliver highquality services.
  • Plan organize direct and monitor the performance of the Manila team operations on a weekly monthly and annual basis including analyzing team and individual performance.
  • Provide strategic input to the short and longterm goals of global workforce operations.
  • Facilitate effective communication between Manila operations and Australasian counterparts.
  • Manage and support the local team to meet the highest standards of technical and administrative requirements ensuring efficient resource use staff competency development and team productivity maximization.

Manage Global Workforce Operations/Administration (30%)

  • Oversee all administrative activities to ensure team functionality profitability and compliance with the firms processes and policies.
  • Act as a liaison between EMAPTA and HLB Australasian firms to ensure smooth Manila operations.
  • Review EMAPTA invoicing details to HLB including leave balances attendance records and other required matters.
  • Coordinate with EMAPTA on major human resources administrative or facilitiesrelated concerns.
  • Monitor external business landscapes (e.g. political legal or regulatory changes) that may impact Manila operations and escalate issues to the GWFP or COO as needed.


Support Divisional Teams (30%)

  • Provide leadership to Manila staff and support onshore teams to maximize productivity and staff retention.
  • Act as a point of contact for Sydney Divisional and Australasian representatives on team dynamics or performance issues.
  • Prepare and submit accurate weekly reports on utilization targets internal time summaries and actual vs. budget comparisons for Manila staff.
  • Compile monthly reports for meetings covering staffing needs resource gaps team progress achievements issues and referrals.
  • Mentor staff through monthly catchups and escalate concerns to relevant representatives.
  • Develop staff by acting as a mentor/coach exploring personal objectives career plans and opportunities for growth.
  • Recruit team members by reviewing CVs preparing interview guidelines and conducting interviews.

Manila Strategic Execution and Reporting (30%)

  • Plan organize and direct annual team performance to align with the short and longterm goals of each team and the Manila division.
  • Drive Manilawide communication plans and prepare relevant content.
  • Monitor and report KPI performance for each team against expectations.
  • Analyze budgets financial reports and trends producing business performance reports and submitting recommendations to GWFP Australasian representatives and COO.
  • Communicate strategic directions from HLB in Australia and support initiatives that affect Manila team members.
  • Create value propositions or strategic adjustments in response to changes in local external landscapes (e.g. political legal or regulatory).

Process Improvements (5%)

  • Identify opportunities to improve organizational efficiency by refining existing practices and implementing new policies and procedures.
  • Selfeducate on relevant job knowledge including software and accounting concepts and participate in development opportunities.
  • Investigate and recommend procedural improvements and develop standard processes for seamless integration across Manila divisional teams.

Marketing and Growth Opportunities (5%)

  • Represent the firm and market Manila operations to potential HLB Australasia member firms and clients.
  • Create and present agendas or presentations for interested firms.
  • Engage with member firms through targeted meetings conferences emails and calls to discuss the offshoring arm.

Requirements

The Qualifications We Seek

  • Degree in Accounting or a related business discipline.
  • At least 23 years of leadership experience managing teams and client relationships.
  • At least 3 years of operational experience in an Australian context overseeing offshoring or outsourcing for accounting finance or professional services industries.
  • At least 45 years of accounting experience including formal accounting roles or responsibility for the financial results of a business unit.
