We are looking for a driven young professional who wants to start a career in Medical Device Sales. This is a great opportunity to break into this competitive field.
The successful candidate will integrate into an existing team servicing Surgeons and key theatre nursing staff in General Surgery & Gynecological procedures.
You will work closely with the Senior Salespeople in the area in developing and maintaining customer relationships offering technical and clinical training and support in the OR to meet the customers users and patient needs.
Our client expects the successful individual to ensure excellent after sales service and outstanding theatre support.
This role may include extensive driving and long working hours. Candidate must have their own vehicle with a valid drivers license.
- Able to scrub up in theatre and be part of the surgical team (gown and glove) with particular focus on General Surgery & Gynaecological procedures.
- Providing technical instruction and support on the products supplied (product training will be provided)
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Do basic administration including weekly activity reports
- Well presented
- Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written.
- Follow instructions and work well in a team
- Managing consignment stock and being accountable for variances
- Providing feedback requested by management
- Reporting complaints/problems encountered

- Candidates must have their own reliable Vehicle cell phone computer data fuel must be managed in a way that successful applicant will always have the ability to perform the job function and duty.
- Scrub Technicians would be ideal candidates for this role but we are willing to coach and train all other suitable individuals
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Graduate (preferably in Health or Life Sciences)
- Motivated target driven independent worker with enthusiasm and passion for sales and the medical industry.
- Able to scrub for operating theatre cases
- Experience in the medical device industry
- Must have own transportation and drivers license (nonnegotiable)
- Must have own mobile device and computer (nonnegotiable)
- Able to work early and late hours when required.
Qualifications, Experience, Characteristics and Skills Minimum qualification(s): University (Bachelor s plus Masters) degree, preferably in Medical Science and/or Business Administration. Fluent in English, preferably with good working knowledge of local language(s). Must be eligible to reside and work in South Africa. Minimum Experience: Relevant commercial and professional experience in the healthcare (services) industry, medical equipment industry or a similar field, with a proven personal track record of customer acquisition and account management, and preferably with some experience in financial modelling. At least 10 years of working experience. Has at least 5 years of hands-on, on the ground, experience in the local market. A keen knowledge of the local market and good awareness of relevant trends in the healthcare industry.
