Job Description
Entry level position that provides opportunity for advancement based on success. Heavy focus on international airfreight and includes basic warehouse activities/inventory management. Strong training program available to develop skillset with leading global logistics provider.
*Position Hours are 11am8pm MondayFriday
- Timely and professional communication with clients and offices through high volume of email phone instant message and in person.
- Tracking and tracing of freight
- Preparation of quotes to clients
- Client notification of shipment delays missing cargo damaged freight
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operations system
- Ensure accurate and timely client billing
- Ensure compliance at all times to regulations
- Dispatch freight
- Monitor reports
- Contribute to maintaining strong vendor relationships airlines trucking companies and others
- Meet key performance indicators in support of department branch product and company goals
- Desire to understand overall department process flow and constantly seek opportunities for improved efficiency
- Escalation of problems to Management when necessary
Qualifications :
- Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Customer Service: 6 months to 1 year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Effective interpersonal skills including proven abilities to listen comprehend effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
- Proactive strong organizational skills
- Strong desire to learn
- Good computer skills (Excel Word PowerPoint)
- Basic US/Global Geography
- Fluent in English
Additional Information :
Expected base salary: $22/hr to $24/hr
May be eligible for bonus following first year of continuous employment in position.
