Job Description

Perform all aspects of account management including developing and maintaining strategic business relationships with corporate/senior management staff in key accounts with the goal of establishing multilevel relationships to increase representative access develop new business maximize resource utilization and increase sales and market share of the assigned product.

There is a strong preference for this role to be based out of Houston TX but can consider candidates in AK as well. 

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility to drive incremental sales volume and market share for CREON and Linzess in targeted accounts while simultaneously identifying and executing strategies to close patient and account care gaps for EPI and IBSC/CIC.
  • Develop robust product strategies and high impact solutions to penetrate key accounts consistently.
  • Leverage leading without authority and influence skills by collaborating with internal teams to identify and provide strategic and tactical direction regarding key target account opportunities to drive execution and pull through.
  • Conduct regular interaction with district managers and representatives to provide insights regarding account dynamics and market factors that influence business opportunities.
  • Advise sales and marketing management with appropriate direction on challenges and opportunities within key target accounts. Analyze and supports channel specific training needs within the Region.
  • Develop an annual business plan with goals and objectives to increase sales volume and market share in target accounts across all FDA approved indications. Routinely identify local opportunities and threats and develop/modify business plans accordingly. Anticipate change and take proactive measures to address.
  • Understand and effectively leverage strong business acumen utilizing a broad range of volume and share growth data reports and analyses. Assess business impact of target account opportunities to include overall profitability and impact on sales.
  • Partner with Field Sales Managers to evaluate and penetrate nonretail account drivers within MSAs.

 

Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. 


Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in health sciences pharmacy or businessrelated field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
  • 6 Years of Health Science Field or Sales experience with a minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical sales. In lieu of degree 8 Years of Health Science Sales experience with minimum of 6 years in pharmaceutical sales.
  • Working knowledge of medical EHR systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to network and partner effectively across crossfunctional areas.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational/project and time management and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Proven record of managing multiple stakeholders in complex environments.
  • An essential requirement of your position is to satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations that are in your assigned territory. You must also be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials.
    • These HCIR credentialing requirements may include but are not limited to background checks drug screens proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases fingerprinting and specific licenses required by individual state or cities.

External: Hospitals Health Systems Centers of Excellence(COE) and large Group Practices.
Internal: Sales and Marketing teams Market Access Medical Brand Teams.
