Job Description

Investment Operations Analyst Cash & Securities Transfers

Our client in the insurance industry is seeking a professional to support the Transfer Management Group (TMG) in managing daily cash and securities transfers within internal accounting records. This role involves ensuring the timely and accurate processing of transfer transactions coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders and performing reconciliations to maintain data integrity. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in investment operations networking and process improvement.

Incorporated Business Rate: $37.00 per hour.
10month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
Fulltime position: 37.50 hours per week.
Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.
Hybrid work: 3 office days from Tuesday to Thursday.

Responsibilities:

Monitor the lifecycle of transfers within the Transfer Origination Automation System (TOA).
Ensure timely settlement of transfers and update downstream systems accordingly.
Coordinate with custodians clients portfolio managers and internal teams including Market Risk Management Treasury Compliance Securities Administration Investment Controllers and Accounting.
Perform daily cash and asset transfer reconciliations between TOA and internal accounting records (Simcorp Dimension).
Understand stakeholder objectives to improve transfer processes and assess the impact of potential changes.
Deliver notifications to backoffice teams for transfers from nonNorth American custody accounts.
Collaborate with portfolio managers or clients to determine preferences for inkind (securities) or cash transfers.
Conduct manual validation on trust portfolios ensuring compliance with applicable procedures.
Provide recommendations on best practices for transfer execution considering cost implications.

What you will need to succeed:

University degree in business finance accounting or mathematics (open to recent graduates).
1 to 2 years of experience in securities and investment operations.
Bilingual in English and French to support internal teams and external stakeholders including portfolio managers and custodians ensuring accurate communication and coordination in both languages.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and clientfocused approach.
Strong analytical problemsolving and conceptual skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel; knowledge of Macro/VBA is an asset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities meet tight deadlines and maintain high accuracy.
Initiative adaptability and a teamoriented mindset.
