Tasks and responsibilities
As a Senior Semiconductor Design Engineer you will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing highperformance optoelectronic devices collaborating with industryleading experts and directly contributing to our nextgeneration products.
Key responsibilities
- Model and simulate semiconductor optoelectronic devices such as quantumwell based lasers and modulators to support design optimization and verification process
- Design test structures and specify test methods to extract specific material and design parameters
- Perform advanced device characterization in the lab to validate the design and extract the design parameters needed for modeling and design improvement iterations
- Develop and specify test methods and procedures for performance evaluation
- Collaborate daily with onsite teams including Chip Design Wafer Fabrication Process Engineering Operations and Project Management.
Education experience and personal characteristics
- Broad technical competence in the fields of material physics semiconductor and optoelectronic devices and technology numerical modelling
- Deep expertise in specific areas in the fields of multi quantumwell based optoelectronic devices and semiconductor device modelling
- PhD with a minimum of 5 years or MSc with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in semiconductor electronic or optoelectronic devices.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written); Swedish proficiency is desirable.
- Strong problemsolving abilities initiative and organizational skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills are preferred.
