We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Junior FrontEnd Developer to join our team in Bucharest!
About the job:
Working on the group level Everymatrix FrontEnd (short EMFE) is the department that manages everything related to the frontend: from some banners or the need for a logo to a fully functional cuttingedge online casino.
Youll be working mainly with React Redux WebPack and NodeJS using HTTP2 and WebSockets APIs as the transfer protocols between the server and the client. We deploy containerized apps via Docker Kubernetes and a continuous delivery pipeline.
Its an exciting product (especially for us and hopefully for you) and were looking for people who are ready to face a challenge analyze existing functionality and transform and adapt it into something great using the latest stack of Web technologies.
What Youll get to do:
Development:
- Stick to task deadlines and estimate development time for each task.
- Implement assigned tasks as closely as possible to the previously provided estimation and test them across devices and browsers to avoid future issues.
- Log the development time spent on tasks in Jira.
Code quality:
- Learn and follow the teams coding standards (or international standards).
- Adjust your code based on feedback from senior developers.
Code review and refactoring:
- Perform daily code reviews and together with other responsible team members approve Git tasks if all issues identified during code review have been resolved.
- You understand the importance of code reviews and can easily understand what the code is meant to do.
- Learn to navigate and improve code written by others.
Code documentation:
- Write simple clear code documentation that explains the technical solutions youve used. That can be reduced to naming and explaining the technical solution that was chosen to resolve the task/issue/bug.
Operational:
- Handle urgent production issues and incidents based on defined processes and SLAs (the complexity refers to system/platform complexity technical solution complexity or business knowledge).
Communication:
- Share knowledge and ideas with the team.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner Project Manager and team to discuss and solve problems.
- Help the testing and support teams with technical issues.
- Share feedback recommendations and lessons learned with the team.
What You need to shine:
- 1 year of experience in a similar role orsignificant personal projects.
- Previous experience with HTML and CSS3.
- Previous experience in creating mobilefirst approach applications.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and creating fast performing interfaces using React and Redux.
- Ability to work in a Kanban system with fast switching priorities.
- Having worked with REST web services and/or web APIs.
- Proven interest in testing code review and code quality.
- Familiar with software development lifecycle.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Strong problemsolving teamwork and timemanagement abilities.
- Willingness to learn adapt and give/receive feedback.
