Duration: For internship 36 months (with the possibility of extension or fulltime role)

We are looking for a driven and motivated Jr. Payments Data Analyst/ Intern to join our dynamic hybrid team. This role offers the unique opportunity to be a key contributor to our growth and success.
You will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing our data analytics product understanding payments performances while directly impacting our clients ability to optimize their payment processes. As we scale you will have the chance to evolve into a leadership position and shape the future direction of our company.
Tasks
- Collaborate with the analytics team to extract clean and preprocess payment and transaction data.
- Conduct adhoc data analysis on merchant performance payment trends and platform monitoring metrics.
- Assist in creating dashboards and visualizations using tools like Grafana Tableau or similar platforms.
- Identify anomalies trends and opportunities in payment data to support decisionmaking.
- Contribute to the development of reports for clients and internal needs.
- Ensure data integrity by identifying and addressing inconsistencies or errors.
- Analyze payment success rates chargebacks and other key metrics.
- Summarize key findings and present them in clear actionable formats.
- Monitor payment platform metrics for anomalies or irregularities.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science Statistics Economics Computer Science or a related field.
- Basic understanding of the payments fintech or ecommerce industries (preferred but not mandatory).
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction querying and experience with Python or R for data analysis.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI Tableau or equivalent platforms.
- Knowledge of basic statistical methods and their application in data analysis.
- Exposure to working with large datasets and handling data quality issues.
- Understanding of basic data engineering concepts such as ETL processes or API integrations (a plus).
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Proactive approach to learning and applying new tools or concepts.
- A curious and innovative mindset with a passion for fintech and datadriven decisionmaking.
- For interns: availability for 2040 hours per week depending on the internship duration.
