Job Description
Title: Sr Network Security Engineer
Location: Fremont CA
Duration: Long Term
Summary:
Our direct client is looking to hire a Senior Network Security Engineer based in Fremont CA.
As a Network Security Engineer you specialize in network security in a global enterprise environment. This role will focus on firewall and partner VPN services including implementation analytics and operational support. You will also ensure compliance to established system architecture regulations and security policies follow standards and best practices and author and maintain support documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Staff Network Engineers on design and initiatives.
- Maintain current network solution within partners.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers on partner requirements gathering analyze and propose solution to networking needs.
- Provision implement test/validation and maintain networking services per solution design.
- Discipline on following change request process.
- Monitor analyze and report metrics of network services.
- Document network knowledgebase and operational RunBook.
- Must be able to work occasional weekends after hours and holidays.
- Participate in on call rotation.
Qualifications:
- 6 years experience midlarge global enterprise networking infrastructure.
- Extensive experience in IP networking L2/L3 network protocols (spanningtree OSPF BGP) LAN/WAN TCP/IP DHCP DNS routing QOS VLAN ACL application flow NAC and infrastructure cabling.
- Extensive experience with IPSEC VPN Firewall Zones and Policies.
- Extensive experience with multivendor firewall technologies including Palo Alto Networks Fortinet and Juniper SRX.
- Extensive experience with multivendor switching technologies including Juniper EX Cisco Catalyst and Fortinet.
- Experience with low voltage CAT6 Fiber & IT Room layout and environmental.
- Experience with troubleshooting with circuit carriers.
- Experience with various tools such as Protocol Analyzer IPAM RADIUS Splunk NetBox Grafana.
- Experience with developing scripts to automate infrastructure deployment and collect metrics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Visio.
