Job Description
Salary: $ 145000.00
We have partnered with a large Civil Engineering company in the Austin TX area to provide them with a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer/Project Manager. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.
Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer/Project Manager:
#1. Minimum of 12 years of modeling and drainage design experience OR minimum of 10 years of modeling and drainage design experience if candidate holds a M.S.
#2. Licensed PE in the State of Texas for 3 years
#3. Experience in the design and construction of storm drain improvement systems including culverts and bridges and/or channel modifications
#4. Experience using 1D and 2D computer models to assess flood conditions and propose mitigation measures
#5. Familiar with FEMA Flood Insurance Mapping process and procedures
#6. Familiar with Microstation OpenRoads Drainage GEOPAK Drainage Storm and Sanitary
Requirements of the Water Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer/Project Manager:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 12 years of experience in drainage modeling and design or 10 years of experience if holding a Masters degree.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas for over 3 years.
- Proven track record in leading design engineering efforts or managing projects.
- Handson experience in designing and constructing storm drainage systems including culverts bridges and channel upgrades.
- Familiarity with designing and constructing stormwater treatment facilities for runoff management and water quality improvements.
- Willingness to gain knowledge in addressing watershed concerns urban streambank restoration and floodrelated challenges.
- Experience with innovative technologies to address flooding erosion and water quality issues.
- Proficient in applying 1D and 2D modeling tools for flood analysis and mitigation planning.
- Understanding of FEMA flood insurance mapping processes and standards.
- Knowledgeable in tools like MicroStation OpenRoads Drainage GEOPAK Drainage and Storm and Sanitary.
- Strong skills in interpersonal communication verbal presentation and technical writing.
- Ability to manage tasks independently or collaboratively ensuring successful project execution from inception to completion.
