Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of our manufacturing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the finance team ensuring accurate financial reporting driving financial planning and analysis and implementing robust financial controls. The role requires a strategic thinker who is comfortable with both highlevel financial management and handson tasks. The Group Financial Controller will work closely with senior management to provide insights and recommendations that drive the company s growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership:
  • Lead and manage the overall financial operations of the company across all locations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports including monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee the preparation of group consolidated accounts in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to the executive team supporting decisionmaking in the areas of investment growth and cost control.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
  • Develop implement and manage the company s financial planning and budgeting processes.
  • Prepare detailed financial forecasts providing insights into key financial drivers and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with the operations and management teams to monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations accounting standards and company policies.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
  • Coordinate external audits and manage the relationship with auditors ensuring all financial audits are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
  • Oversee cash flow management including working capital and funding requirements.
  • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to optimize liquidity debt facilities and financing.
  • Review and monitor capital expenditures to ensure alignment with budget and financial strategy.
Team Leadership & Development:
  • Lead and develop a highperforming finance team providing mentorship and training to enhance skills and capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement ensuring the finance team operates efficiently and meets all deadlines.
Mergers Acquisitions & Financial Strategy:
  • Support the company s strategic growth initiatives including mergers acquisitions and joint ventures.
  • Provide financial due diligence and valuation support as needed for potential investments and acquisitions.
Cost Control & Profitability:
  • Monitor production costs and profitability recommending strategies to improve margins.
  • Work with the operations team to implement costsaving initiatives without compromising on product quality or customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Education:
  • A Bachelor s degree in Finance Accounting or a related field. A Master s degree or professional qualifications such as CPA ACCA or CMA would be advantageous.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 810 years of experience in finance and accounting with at least 5 years in a senior financial management role.
  • Previous experience in the food production or manufacturing industry is preferred.
Technical Skills:
  • Indepth knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations tax laws and accounting standards (MFRS/IFRS).
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (Sage)
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and analysis.
Leadership & Communication:
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information to nonfinancial stakeholders.
