Job Description

Our client a world leader in diagnostics and life sciences is looking for a "Biospecimen Associate I" based out of Tucson AZ.


Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)

Pay Rate: $20/hr on W2


Performs sample accessioning in CDx CAP/CLIA Laboratory. Follows standard procedures in performing the tasks knowledgeable with CAP CLIA and other accrediting and regulatory agency requirements in laboratory practice and utilizes good documentation practices and following laboratory safety policies. Leads one or more process improvement work streams within the BioSample Management Group as assigned.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintains Tissue Bank inventory including filing incoming shipments of tissue blocks pulling them for requests and returning them to their proper location after their use.
  • Organizes Tissue Bank sample cabinets and ensures accurate and consistent labeling of tissues/slides.
  • Performs labeling of samples and quality control check of labeling archiving samples and all sample management activities.
  • Assists with internal requests including global shipments of samples while maintaining an accurate chain of custody.
