Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW
Job Title: CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) Anesthesia
Job Type: Locum Tenens
Location: Charleston South Carolina
Service Setting: Hospital Pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center
Coverage Type: Clinical Only
Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing
Clinical Shift Schedule: 3 shifts of 13.5 regular hours per week

PATIENT INFORMATION
Patient Demographics: Pediatric patients
Patient Volume/Census: IR/Ped Cath Lab
Case Mix: Pediatric patients requiring cardiac catheterization including pulmonary balloons

FACILITY INFORMATION
No. of Beds in Department: 8 operating rooms 2 CCATH labs
Trauma Level: Level 1
EMR System: Epic
Office Equipment Available: Standard equipment for IR and Ped Cath Lab
Specialty Backup Available: Physicians and Advanced Practitioners
Support Staff Available: Physicians and APs
Reason for Coverage: Urgent need for coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Temporary Privileges Available: Yes
Credentialing Timeline: To be determined

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Rate: TBD
Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance:

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
Strong background in cardiac catheterization (CCATH)
Proficiency in pulmonary balloon procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active South Carolina license
Certifications: Relevant CRNA certifications
Experience: Strong CCATH background; Academic Medical Center experience not required
Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR system

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform anesthesia services in the IR/Ped Cath Lab
Administer care for pediatric patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians and APs to provide optimal patient outcomes
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
Complete hospital modules and EPIC training as required
