Job Summary
The Buyer will play a crucial role in growing transactional relationships with the vendors. The role will be responsible for negotiating terms and conditions of supply from vendors while aggregating market intelligence for buying decisions negotiating contracts and ensuring that procurement strategies are both inventive and costeffective.
Location: Lagos
Work Mode: Hybrid
Responsibilities:
Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers.
Negotiate prices contracts terms and deadlines with vendors and suppliers.
Making inventory of current products
Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and costeffective.
Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms and prices.
Building and maintaining longterm relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Keep a growing pool of products (chemicals raw materials ingredients and commodities) locally and internationally
Manage the Stock master list for effective pricing and cost management
Ensure timely stock pickup/availability
Liaise with the Technology and marketing team on campaigns for vendor stock sellout.
Develop cost management strategies and tools.
Requirements
Bachelor s Degree (Preferably Chemistry or Supply chain background or considerable related experience).
At least 3 years experience in chemical background
Have dedicated experience in procurement or pricing within the chemical industry
Possess a strong understanding of the buying process with relevant expertise in sourcing and negotiating for chemical products
Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or similar roles.
