About the Opportunity:
We are on the lookout for a Software Engineering Manager (Android) Quick Commerce to join the Pelican squad on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences. Be part of redefining how customers experience quick commerce. Youll help build technology that scales our nonfood offerings reaching new market segments and driving revenue growth. By innovating within our Quick Commerce Team youll make Delivery Hero the goto platform for a broad range of products helping us grow faster and deliver more value to customers around the world. Contribute to the creation of our nextgeneration platform that aims to provide the best tools for our partners working in supermarkets local stores pharmacies and more.
Join our team and help streamline the daily operations of our partners delivering an exceptional experience in fulfilling grocery orders efficiently and seamlessly.
Work on a platform that helps local business around the world with their daily tasks in a seamless and efficient way.
Make impactful decisions and take ownership of them while demonstrating collaborative problemsolving skills.
Ensure high code quality testing and engineering best practices and overall product performance.
Support an established team of engineers in their daytoday development experience personal development and longterm career growth.
Own the execution and development of functionalities in small iterations that deliver value.
Ensure the high reliability of a lowlatency highthroughput system that powers the delivery fees of 60 countries and all Delivery Hero brands.
Partner with your product counterpart and provide technical direction to your team facilitating the design of feasible and iterative solutions aligned with the business needs.
Own the tech metrics and KPIs of your team ensuring full visibility tracking and alerting.
Provide technical support for the design of solutions that are reliable performing costeffective and scalable to meet the business needs.
What you need to be successful:
At least 2 years of experience in managing a team.
Your empowering skills make you a compassionate and trusted guide.
You are a knowledgeable technical guide who aligns with and supports product and business goals.
You are an Android expert with a clear understanding of core concepts and paradigms and can abstract this knowledge to multiple scenarios and are familiar with Kotlin.
You are proficient in writing technical documents (RFCs) in order to clarify feature requirements.
You have experience working with reporting and monitoring tools such as Sentry Firebase Crashlytics etc. and creating dashboards based on multiple data sources (JIRA BQ etc) and are able to drive data based decisions.
