Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Care Assistant to join our homecare team in Bridgend.
As a Care Assistant you will play a crucial role in providing highquality care and support to individuals in their own homes helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
- Assist clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene dressing and grooming
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Provide medication reminders and monitor clients health conditions
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities as needed
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients conditions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
- Respond promptly to emergencies and follow established protocols
- Adhere to all company policies procedures and safety guidelines
Qualifications :
- Relevant caregiving certifications preferred
- Previous experience in homecare or similar caregiving role not necessary but desired
- Strong personal care skills and basic medical knowledge
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- High level of empathy and emotional intelligence
- Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and transfers
- Understanding of elderly care and common health conditions
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Patience compassion and a genuine desire to help others
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and privacy
