Yours is a role that will see you design and deliver outstanding operations management processes at the HUB and overseas stations while ensuring the highest level of adherence to safety and security standards.
You'll be responsible for managing suppliers, ensuring customs and regulatory compliance, and overseeing safety and reporting processes.
Your role will also involve collaborating with ground operations, claims function, optimizing product development, and leading central flight planning to meet revenue objectives.

Cargo Network Management
Operational Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations of the cargo network, including the planning, coordination, and execution of cargo shipments and deliveries across various routes and regions.
Network Optimization: Analyze and optimize cargo routes and networks to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels. This includes planning and adjusting capacity, scheduling, and resources to meet demand.
Route Planning: Develop and manage optimal routes for cargo transportation, taking into account factors like time, cost, regulations, and capacity.
Coordination with Internal and External Stakeholders
Collaboration with Airlines/Logistics Providers: Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, ground handling agents, and other logistics providers to ensure smooth cargo operations.
Customer Communication: Interact with customers (both internal and external) to ensure that cargo requirements are understood and met. Handle any issues related to cargo delays, damages, or discrepancies.
Vendor Management: Oversee the performance of third-party service providers, such as ground handling agents, warehouses, and trucking companies. Ensure that vendors meet service level agreements (SLAs) and maintain the quality of service.
Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with teams such as sales, marketing, and customs compliance to ensure cargo operations align with customer expectations and regulatory standards.
Degree qualified, you will demonstrate a minimum 7 years of experience in cargo operations within a complex airline network, specializing in supplier management, performance optimization, SLA management, and safety compliance.

Monitoring and Reporting
Cargo Performance Tracking: Monitor cargo performance metrics, including on-time delivery, transit times, and damage rates, and take corrective actions as needed to improve service delivery.
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on cargo operations, including key performance indicators (KPIs), operational challenges, and improvement initiatives. Provide analysis and recommendations for improving operational efficiency.
Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage the cargo operations budget, ensuring that resources are utilized efficiently and that costs are controlled without compromising on service quality.
Regulatory Compliance and Safety
Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that all cargo operations comply with international, national, and local regulations, including customs, safety, environmental, and security standards.
Safety and Security: Ensure that cargo is handled safely and securely, particularly sensitive or hazardous goods. Maintain a safe working environment for the operations team and third-party vendors.
Documentation: Oversee the accurate preparation and handling of all necessary documentation, including bills of lading, shipping invoices, and customs paperwork.
