Yours is a role that will see you play a critical role in RX’s fleet operations by leading all powerplant-related initiatives and contributing to fleet strategy and operational excellence.
Some of the key aspect of this position include evaluating engine and auxiliary power unit (APU) options, reviewing technical and commercial contracts, integration planning, regulatory compliance and performance analysis and future planning.
Further, you’ll ensure effective integration with OEMs, collaborate across departments, and manage supplier relationships while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
This role is pivotal towards supporting the organisation’s objective of maintaining a modern, cost-effective fleet aligned with the Saudi Aviation Strategy.

Fleet Maintenance and Management
Regular Inspections: Oversee routine maintenance checks and inspections of vehicles or aircraft to ensure they are in safe working condition.
Repairs and Service: Manage the timely and cost-effective repair of fleet assets, working closely with mechanics or third-party service providers.
Maintenance Scheduling: Create maintenance schedules and ensure that vehicles or aircraft are serviced at the appropriate intervals to prevent breakdowns or accidents.
Asset Lifecycle Management: Monitor the condition of fleet assets and decide when to replace or upgrade vehicles to maintain an efficient and modern fleet.
Fleet Utilization and Optimization
Routing and Scheduling: Plan and optimize routes for vehicles or flights to ensure the most efficient use of resources and minimal downtime.
Performance Tracking: Track and analyze the performance of each vehicle or asset, identifying areas for improvement in fuel consumption, reliability, and driver or pilot behavior.
Efficiency Initiatives: Implement strategies to improve fleet efficiency, such as reducing fuel consumption, improving vehicle load capacity, or increasing the number of trips per asset.
Degree qualified typically in Engineering, you will demonstrate a minimum 8 years of experience in airline powerplant program management, technical services and powerplant engineering.
Alternatively, you may possess relevant similar experience with an aerospace supplier, OEM or leasing company.

Compliance and Regulatory Management
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the fleet complies with local, regional, and international laws and regulations regarding safety, environmental standards, and insurance.
Safety Standards: Implement safety protocols and ensure that all vehicles or assets adhere to required safety standards, including conducting safety audits.
Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, licenses, insurance, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Licensing and Certifications: Ensure that all vehicles, drivers, or pilots are properly licensed, and all required certifications are current.
Budgeting and Cost Management
Budgeting: Develop and manage budgets for fleet maintenance, fuel, insurance, and any other operational costs.
Cost Control: Monitor and control fleet expenses, looking for ways to reduce costs without compromising safety or efficiency (e.g., through fuel-efficient practices or outsourcing certain maintenance tasks).
Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with third-party service providers, including mechanics, insurance companies, and fuel suppliers, to ensure cost-effective operations.
