Roles and responsibilities
- Develop the Maintenance Engineering Support Division’s policies and procedures and ensure the availability of all resources required to perform the Division’s tasks and functions.
- Participate in setting the estimated budget for the Division and monitor its expenditures and financial performance in coordination with concerned parties.
- Participate in the development of maintenance plans and strategies (corrective, preventive and predictive) in coordination with the Reliability, CET & Workshop and Routine Maintenance Divisions; and ensure providing the necessary support and advice for effective implementation
- Ensure providing the necessary engineering support to the Routine Teams
- Oversee the activities of setting and developing maintenance plans and schedules for all kind of routine maintenance works, including mechanical, electrical, instrument, heat, ventilation, air conditioning and general services activities.
- Ensure efficient and seamless flow of information and communication within Methods Maintenance’s Organizations as well as with other Maintenance Divisions, as necessary.
- Supervise subordinates within the Division including assigning work activities and projects, monitor workflow and review results.
- Oversee the activities of Instrumental, Mechanical and Rotating Equipment sections.
- Prepare and administer the planned long-term maintenance policies and budgets.
- Ensure that the reliability programs are set-up and implemented appropriately to maximize plant availability.
- Optimize maintenance resources in a cost effective manner.
- Seek continuous improvements in maintenance methods and procedures.
- Maintain and enhance Maintenance knowledge and skills.
- Oversee the management of the SAP maintenance module and ensure quality and consistency of the maintenance data.
- Assist other Organizations such as Project and Procurements and Contracts.
- Forecast and control the budget and expenditures of the Division.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety and environmental policies and regulations at all times.
- Act as a coach to subordinates, identify their training and career development, recommend training courses and follow-up on their personnel records such as timesheets, discipline, vacations, leaves and absenteeism.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager Maintenance.
Desired candidate profile
Bachelor’s Degree in required or related field
10-15 years of experience in required technical field (routine maintenance and engineering)
Minimum 2 years in a leadership role.
Job Specific Skills

Knowledge of Electrical, DCS, Instrumental, Mechanical, and Rotating Equipment functions.
