The Security Technical Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of all security systems and physical security projects.
The role also includes handling system upgrades, developing security policies and procedures, overseeing security contracts, conducting risk assessments, managing changes, and ensuring compliance with HCIS regulations.
The position requires proactive planning, technical expertise, and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support the organization’s physical security objectives.
Description:
Design, implement, and maintain all security systems, including access control, video surveillance (CCTV), intrusion detection, and perimeter security systems.
Plan and execute physical security system upgrades and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
Develop and regularly update security policies and procedures to align with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the development and management of all security contracts, ensuring terms align with organizational needs and compliance requirements.
Conduct security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigation strategies.
Manage changes in security systems and processes to adapt to evolving security needs.
Ensure compliance with HCIS regulations and other applicable security standards and laws.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of security systems to ensure reliability and uptime.
Collaborate with the Technical Security Support Supervisor and other teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Provide technical guidance for the procurement and integration of new security technologies.
Maintain accurate records for all security systems, including configurations, policies, and maintenance schedules.
Prepare detailed reports on system performance, risk assessments, compliance status, and project progress.
Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in physical security.
Handling Root Cause Analysis for Security Systems Major Failure or repetitive failure with providing corrective and preventive action.
Train personnel on the use of security systems and policies.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Since, instrumentation engineering field or any equivalent technical field (or equivalent experience).
Certification:
Certifications in physical security or security systems (e.g., PSP, CPP, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
Minimum Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in managing security systems, physical security projects, and security contracts.
- Experience with risk assessment and compliance management, particularly with HCIS regulations.
- Familiarity with leading security platforms (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon).
Job Specific Skills:
• Strong knowledge of physical security systems and associated hardware and software.
• Hands-on experience with the integration and troubleshooting of security technologies.
• Understanding of HCIS compliance requirements and risk management principles.
• Good knowledge of physical security and asset protection methodologies and implementation.
• Conversant with Microsoft Office applications.
• Must handle all information with strict confidentiality.

• Capable of giving strong attention to details.
