The Program Director is a key position that is responsible for providing leadership and management of Dungarvins residential services.
As the PD your role is vital in creating a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes the wellbeing and independence of our residents. Your organizational and leadership skills will be essential in ensuring the smooth functioning of the program and the delivery of highquality care and support.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the development implementation scheduling operation and evaluation of all residential programming in assigned program(s).
- Train supervise and evaluate a team of direct support professionals (DSPs); motivate and provide feedback to staff members.
- Cultivate a work environment that prioritizes teamwork cooperation and safety.
- Staff scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement individual support plan (ISP) goals behavior support plans (BSPs) or other support documents ensuring services provided align with residents preferences needs and goals.
- Maintain a safe and healthy living environment for residents; conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify and address potential risks.
- Manage program budgets.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records and programrelated documentation.
- Participate in licensing reviews selfassessments and collaborate with Directors and key stakeholders on plans for improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of services provided. Implement quality improvement initiatives and participate in internal and external audits or reviews.
- Interact with individuals we serve in a manner that shows respect promotes dignity boosts selfesteem and empowers personal choice.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in human services or an equivalent combination of education experience and abilities.
- Supervisory or managerial experience
- Prior experience in developing and implementing individual programs.
- Previous experience providing personcentered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities required.
- Prior experience developing and implementing ISPs.
- Strength in administration finance DD programs leadership communication and teamwork.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.

Driving Status
This position is designated as an unlimited driving position defined as one that requires an employee to drive a motor vehicle as a part of his/her Dungarvin work including vehicles owned or leased by Dungarvin and/or to drive a vehicle in which a person served is transported. All employees in this position must have a valid drivers license as defined by our insurance carrier and our policies.
An employee hired for a position that requires the employee to drive his/her own car is responsible for his/her own automobile insurance.
