Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Content Manager to support our Editorial team. Reporting to the Editorial Content Director youll be responsible for delivering content projects for our clients especially to one of our partnersa leading global video games and entertainment provider brand bestinclass in the gaming industry.
The ideal candidate will have a strong writing background be adept at successfully delivering highquality content have a deep understanding of socialfirst writing and be a subject matter expert for gaming/esports audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce engaging creative and original content that aligns with brand standards for social media longform content YouTube descriptions and other nonstandard channels.
- Setup and execution of editorial projects ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow from project initiation to completion.
- Research and understand the brands tone of voice and competitive gaming business.
- Adjust writing style based on project requirements and respond to changing priorities.
- Be on top of gaming culture terminology and current industry trends.
- Craft detailed information about tournaments and events to create captivating program copy.
- Adapt tone and style to suit different mediums and audiences.
- Align copywriting efforts with broader company goals and marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with Project Management and Client Management to develop and agree upon project timelines with all relevant stakeholders.
- Own and maintain the editorial content calendar as the core tracking document for deliverables the projects.
- Develop and maintain an editorial style guide to incorporate brandspecific stylistic and grammatical callouts into the content creation process.
Qualifications :
- Deep understanding of gaming audiences knowledge of esports tournaments player motivations and community engagement strategies.
- 7 years of experience writing especially for gaming and esports communities.
- Understanding tournament programs and translating them in simple accessible and exciting ways to players.
- Highlevel professional copywriting skills experienced in producing engaging creative and original content that aligns with brand standards.
- Experience crafting compelling narratives around tournaments and campaigns that resonate with competitive gaming audiences.
- Innovative mindset to develop fresh and exciting content ideas to avoid overredundancy across program copy.
- Meticulous proofreading and editing skills to ensure errorfree and highquality copy.
- Proficient in writing for various digital platforms (social media blogs among others) aligning copywriting efforts with broader company goals and marketing campaigns.
- Ability to work closely with internal teams to align copy with overall marketing strategies.
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
