Job Description

The Plant Manager is the top leader at the facility responsible for overseeing all operations and acting as the Site Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager. This role ensures the plant runs safely efficiently and costeffectively managing areas like manufacturing scheduling quality control staffing maintenance capital investments and product distribution.

The Plant Manager also handles site security and ensures compliance with Federal State local and company policies. In emergencies they serve as the Incident Commander.


Qualifications :

Qualifications:

  • 510 years of experience in liquid or dry chemical manufacturing including plant operations.
  • At least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • A bachelors degree in engineering science industrial management or a related field is preferred (or equivalent education and experience).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee production to ensure products meet quality cost and shipment deadlines.
  • Improve efficiency and product quality by implementing better methods and procedures.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities to reduce downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Hire train and manage staff in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
  • Monitor and manage plant budgets ensuring expenses stay within limits.
  • Handle employee and labor relations effectively.
  • Supervise quality control to meet product standards.
  • Coordinate purchasing and ensure accurate system entries for materials and shipments.
  • Accurately report production and shipping activities.
  • Maintain a compliant and organized workplace following EHS policies and regulations.
  • Assess
  • Clearly define and communicate team roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide training skills and resources for employees to succeed.
  • Set measurable EHS objectives and continuously improve compliance efforts.
  • Report on EHS issues and stay updated on industry standards.
  • Implement incident management systems and conduct emergency drills.
  • Oversee contractors to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Follow all quality protocols and maintain a safetyfirst mindset.
  • Support safety programs audits and risk assessments.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
