Job Description

Payroll Analyst is responsible for coordinate and control payroll preparation input payroll processing payroll file validation etc. for multiple countries. Responsible for supporting shared service payroll projects and services ensuring pay is processed on time accurately and in compliance with regulations.

This is a Fixed Term Contract position for a duration of 11 months (Maternity Cover) with the opportunity to work 1 day a week from home (4 days on site local office).

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and reviews payroll processing systems and processes to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries benefits taxes and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires terminations and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensures compliance with country state and local payroll wage and hour laws and best practices.
  • Lead and facilitates internal external payroll and central operations related audits
  • Maintain proper documentation of payroll and benefits
  • Manage regular payroll reports
  • Identifies and recommends continuous improvement in payroll processing systems and procedures.
  • Manage track and provide reports on KPIs and SLAs as required.
  • Contribute to the customer service delivery strategy with a view to improving performance.
  • Support Centralization and implementation Payroll projects
  • Participate and deploy global Smiths HR initiatives and projects.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in the relevant area of expertise to various projects

Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of the payroll function including preparation balancing internal control and payroll taxes.
  • 47 years of Payroll related experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with payroll software.
  • Masters degree in human resources/finance or recognized qualification/certification.
  • Prior HR experience preferred.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Additional language like Japanese/Chinese understanding preferred.
