Job Summary
Ensures that all logistics processes including transportation warehousing and distribution adhere to Standard Operating Procedures. This role involves monitoring and inspecting logistics operations identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison for feedback and communication between Expeditors and the customer
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures for logistics Quality Control
- Increase operational consistency through adherence to Account Standard Operating Procedures
- Improve efficiency through process improvement and utilization of technology
- Own quality program through direct engagement and alignment on progress opportunities and allocation of capacity
- Oversee and support development of an efficiency mindset through quality training and coaching
- Monitor daily operation to drive consistency in our Processes Systems and usage.
- Collaborate with Procurement Operations and Suppliers to resolve damages and quality related issues
- Consult as a quality subject matter expert with external parties when applicable
- Influence operations to utilize enterprise systems to their fullest of capabilities
- Initiate process mapping exercises and application of process management
- Leverage Corrective and Preventive Actions program to identify and deploy process improvements
- Identify and document issues nonconformities and inefficiencies in logistics operations
- Collaborate with logistics teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics processes and enhance quality
- Investigate develop and collaborate with 3PL partner on cost savings ideas
- Work with teammates to brainstorm issues and ideas at similar warehouses across the globe
- Prepare and submit quality reports and recommendations to management
- Train and support logistics staff on quality control procedures and best practices
Education
Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Quality Assurance Business Administration Supply Chain Management or related field required. Or equivalent Advanced certifications in Organizational Excellence or Six Sigma plus 23 years of applied experience.
Experience
- 25 years in a Quality Control role or related field required
- Full understanding of Quality Control methodologies
- Familiarity with Quality Control tools and techniques
- Experience leading or participating in Quality Control projects implementing process improvement initiatives

Working conditions
Work may involve exposure to warehouse environments including noise dust and varying temperatures
May require standing walking and lifting for extended periods of time
Occasional driving may be required to travel to other sites to inspect logistics operations
