Staff Software Engineer - Frontend

Visa PPT team is on the forefront of Visas innovation responsible for building digital platforms such as Visa Token Services and Visa Click to Pay. This team is also responsible for setting standards in the payment industry level (EMVCo and W3C) for digital commerce. Platform product team is responsible for developing products like Visa Click to Pay and Token products collaborate with cross functional teams including but not limited to Product Technology Commercialization UX Design/Research and different Visa Regional teams to build great products at scale and drive adoption.

Visa Click to Pay is built using the latest ecommerce industry specifications (EMV Secure Remote Commerce) that enables a simple faster and more secure ecommerce checkout experience for Visa cardholders. With Visa Click to Pay we are transforming the online checkout experience by providing a secure checkout experience online removing the need to enter your 16digit primary account numbers look up passwords or fill out long forms to make a purchase.

Imagine being part of an agile team where your ideas transform the online checkout experience for millions of Visa cardholders globally. Visa Click to Pay team is looking for Staff Software Engineer to join our diverse team to build new product capabilities and enhancing existing ones. Our platform capabilities will be used by merchants PSPs and partners to enable integrated Click to Pay checkout experience in their Guest Checkout flows.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD OR 8 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
• Desire to work with and share new and innovative ideas constantly expanding your knowledge.
• Experience working on single page applications.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript object model DOM manipulation and event handlers data structures and algorithms.
• Complete understanding of ReactJS and its main fundamentals like JSX Virtual DOM component lifecycle etc.
• 3 years of experience with ReactJS workflows like Flux Redux Create React App data structure libraries.
• Experience supporting different browsers and how to mitigate browsercompatibility issues.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs JSON web tokens and web services.
• Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS ES6 (variables and scoping array methods) code versioning tools like GIT SVN etc. popular frontend development tools CI/CD tools DevOps performance testing frameworks like Mocha Node NPM
• Strong debugging skills and experience working with debugging tools.
• Understanding of React test frameworks (e.g. Jest Enzyme and Jasmine).
• Experience working with UI automation with Cypress Playwright multibrowser testing.
• Previous experience in backend development with Java or PHP.
• Previous work experience working within Agile.
• Knowledge of containerization with Docker.
• Previous experience working in the fintech or other highly regulated industry.
• Experience in AI/ML is a plus.
