VHIR is seeking an Education Project Manager to join its Teaching Unit within the Internal Strategy Area.
The successful candidate will work as Education Project Manager of the Horizon Europe Widera project GIMMCARE: BOOSTING CLINICAL RESEARCH FOR THE BENEFIT OF SOCIETY. VHIR leads the WP on Training and the PM will give support to the team involved in the project for an excellent execution of project activities.
The candidate will also collaborate with the Teaching Unit within the Internal Strategy Area of VHIR to facilitate and promote highquality innovative and effective education programmes that align with the Institutes strategic goals.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- A university degree preferable in life sciences or related fields.
- Fluency in English and good command of Spanish and/or Catalan.
Desired:
- PhD in a lifesciences related field will be highly valued.
- Complementary training in project management and/or people development and talent management will be a plus.
Experience and Knowledge:
Required:
- Proven experience in training activities management and coordination tasks. Ability to autonomously coordinate project partners and supervise tasks execution in projects of certain complexity.
- Proven experience in European collaborative projects coordination and management tasks preferably in the field of health research and education.
- Excellent communication and influence skills with at ease dealing with senior international scientists healthcare professionals and the rest of the team and stakeholders involved in the project.
- Due to the fact that the position is aimed to join a collaborative project with a research institute based on Lisbon availability to travel is required.
Desired:
- Demonstrated knowledge about physicianscientists career pathway and their opportunities for research training.
- Previous experience working as training specialist in health research institutions and/or Hospitals environments will be a plus.
- Good IT skills. Especially practical experience with Learning Management Systems (i.e. Moodle) will be an asset.
- Practical experience in survey design and data analysis will also be advantageous.
- Personal skills: strong organisational and planning capacities proactive results oriented professional with close attention to detail and with the ability to work under tight deadlines. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Contribute to define the training strategy of the GIMMCare project to create a translation continuum from bench to bedside and back again improving the interplay between basic translational and clinical research groups.
- Planning coordinate and manage the necessary tasks to design and deliver three new training programmes in Clinical Research Clinical Trials and Biobanking aimed at researchers clinicians and other healthcare professionals within the GIMMCare project.
- Organise and manage the logistics associated with training programmes (manage the communication with participants lecturers and other collaborators manage the outputs and feedbacks of each of the courses organise annual revision of the courses and its contents etc.).
- Collaborate in the design and the development of VHIR training activities for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Any other duties related to the job as requested to contribute to the general functioning of the project and the Teaching Unit within Internal Strategy Area.
Labour conditions:
- Fulltime position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: immediate incorporation.
- Gross annual salary: 33.000 40.000 euros(Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
