Job Description
With our groundbreaking satellite 5G constellation OQ Technology is a global leader in the domain of IoT communication connectivity and associated services. We are a venture capital backed company with a successful track record of satellite launches and the first company in the world to disrupt the telecommunication industry by merging cellular 5G with satellites.
Our technology will have massive implications to the Oil & Gas Maritime Industry 4.0 and Transport segments particularly for the management and tracking of assets in remote and rural areas and extending 5G coverage through nonterrestrial networks.
As an IT Infrastructure Specialist you will be the sole point of contact for all IT infrastructurerelated matters within our company. You will be responsible for designing implementing and managing our IT systems ensuring their optimal performance and security. This position requires a handson approach technical expertise and the ability to work independently to meet the unique IT needs of our startup. In addition to that you will take the lead in planning executing and delivering IT projects that align with our business objectives.
Tasks
- Design implement and maintain the companys IT infrastructure including servers networks and storage systems.
- Install configure and monitor hardware software and network components to ensure smooth operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware software and network issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect the companys IT systems and data from unauthorized access and threats.
- Manage user accounts permissions and access rights to ensure proper security and data integrity.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance tasks to optimize efficiency and prevent issues.
- Collaborate with external vendors to source and procure IT equipment software and services as needed.
- Stay uptodate with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and enhancements to the IT infrastructure.
- Create and maintain documentation including system configurations user guides and IT policies and procedures.
- Provide technical support and training to employees ensuring they can effectively utilize IT systems and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure in a small to mediumsized company or startup environment.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems including servers networks and storage solutions.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting hardware software and network components.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) and basic understanding of virtualization technologies.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills with an attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
